I make Niyat to include my whole family whenever I give sadqa e jaria to someone. I want to know if this is valid and is the hassanat/ajr divided or each one gets the same. I heard one maulana sahab say that it is divided by the no of people included in the intention.

The principle is that everyone is responsible for his or her own deeds. Your intention can’t help them earn a reward of a good deed they did not make.

Unless one asks You to do a charity on one’s behalf, one doesn’t get reward.

However if one has taught You a good thing like parents and you do that good thing they earn the reward because they initiated it.

In that case do I need to make an intention to include my parents or is it given that whatever good I do the parents will also get Sawab for that automatically.

You can make an intention for your own satisfaction but if they have taught you something good, they will automatically get a reward for that good deed, whether or not the intention was made.
