Translation & Tafseer by Ghamdi sb often a mentions the Sunnah or Law of Allah. That is that after some time if the person stays on a certain path not considered right then Allah makes that direction, that way of thinking and that path appear right to that person.

Question is that how does one know if he or she has not been left to be on that wrong path and thinking and it’s is appearing to be right in their own mind?

I mean if for example a person follows and practices the deen as much as possible and at the same has developed a certain thinking or school of thought to interpret things, how does one know if they are in the right direction and not being left to follow their interpretation and their thinking and interpretation is not made to appear as the right one as the Law or Sunnah of Allah?

    Thank you

There are two types of wrongs: blatantly wrong and misunderstanding. The Sunnah of Allah is about the former. To commit shirk is blatantly wrong, as there is no argument, evidence, or divine information for being more than one God. One should not adopt shirk in the first place, but when it is made clear through a prophet and one still adheres to it for a long time, then according to the sunnah of God, his heart is sealed, and cannot accept the truth. It does not mean that the person does not realize his mistake, he just likes to keep the things as they are. The same goes for the hypocrites and other offenders in the Quran.

Such a behavior can be observed in habitual or veteran criminals. They are satisfied with what they do, but still, they do not like someone who does the same to them. It shows that they do not lose the sense of right and wrong but just like to do what they do.
