Reasons For Sending Blessings Upon The Prophet (PBUH)
I send blessings upon the prophet (pbuh) because God has told us to and because of his sacrifices.
But I have seen people send blessings upon the prophet also because of his intercession on the day of judgement where God will allow prophets to intercede. I see problem in following that reasoning because the praise should be for God here that He will allow this and that He is the one who should be called upon for mercy on the day of judgement, not a prophet.
What are the real reasons for sending the blessings upon the prophet (pbuh)? What’s your take on the problem I have mentioned?
