  • Just Punishment If The Victim Doesn’T Forgive On Day Of Judgement

If one wronged someone else and then repented and made amends, did something good for the victim and asked him for forgiveness but then the victim didn’t forgive, on the day of judgement one might expect God to help and if the victim still doesn’t forgive, he will take away the good deeds of the person who wronged him according to a hadith and thoughts of Ghamidi sir.

But to me, this doesn’t feel just. That’s because taking away good deeds is an eternal punishment, you can’t get more good deeds after that. If someone wronged someone and then didn’t repent, then this makes sense that it can be considered a punishment from God as well.

But if the person has repented and changed, eye for an eye is a more just punishment, isn’t it? Even for cases where wealth is involved, taking away someone deeds is far more expensive than the wealth of this world. But I am saying all of this only for the person who has properly repented and tried to return whatever he took away from the victim (wealth, dignity, etc)

Are you seriously suggesting preferring punishment over exchange of good deeds?

To be sent to Hell and punished there severely until the victim is satisfied and your crime is paid for?

You prefer that over losing a few good deeds?

Well, if one insist, then I suppose Allah can arrange that for whoever does not want to bargain in good deeds on the Day of Judgment.

No, I meant eye for an eye type of punishment. If I slap someone, the just punishment would be he slaps me back, not put me in fire. This case, only for the person who has repented, not for the one who hasn’t because in the latter case, the person is likely to be punished in the sense you are talking about

Eye for eye is our qisas rule for our worldly divine punishment.

In Day of Judgment where justice will accurate and punishment will be severe. Punishment for every sin will be prepared in Hell. People who are not sarkash, will go there temporarily until they are purified of that sin. This is what exchange of good deeds shield us from.

If you slap someone here without a good reason, the punishment for that isn’t a slap, it is also going take into account how innocent the victim was, how long he had wait for justice from Allah, how much he suffered for it etc. Perfect and accurate justice, producing a severe outcome. Even in our worldly courts, you don’t compensate a penny for a penny, you had to also pay more for all the other damages, even we recognize that unprovoked evil results in a great penalty. Allah is going to add even more factors into the final punishment for each crime.

So, still want the punishment over good deeds exchange?
