Zakat Applicable For Fundraiser?
Assalamualaikum, so I’ve a question that can Zakat be given by participating in some fund-raising event, like hiking or painting or baking class etc. where all proceeds are going to be donated to the cause of education (the NGO conducting the activity has a Zakat eligibility certificate)

If someone receives personal benefit from their charity, it does not qualify as Zakat. If the charity involves activities like hiking or baking for enjoyment, that enjoyment is something that must be paid for separately.
