To treat my ptsd, I must feel safe first. I remind myself that God’s help is with me and He is taking care of me and protecting me because I obey Him the best I can. This works really well for me.

But then there is the thought that opposes this that I don’t know what’s happening in the unseen and it is wrong to assume that God is helping me or protecting me.

What’s your opinion? Me feeling safe because I think God is protecting me and taking care of me, is it valid from religious perspective?

God does things the way he chooses. He protects the people, and lets the harm come to them. It all depends upon his grand scheme. A Muslim is the one who stay pleased with God in whatever circumstances He chooses for him. The reward of a Muslim is not just this world, but the hereafter.
