  • What Exactly Do We Mean When We Say That The Quran Is Uncreated

    Assalamualaikum

I was just browsing the internet yesterday and I came across the debate of the Quran being created or uncreated and since then it’s the only thing I can think about. From what I’ve read, the mainstream Sunni belief is that the Qur’an is uncreated since it’s from the speech of Allah ( plz correct me if I’m wrong, I seek forgiveness from Allah if it’s wrong), but I also read that the mus’hafs that we have are created. So what exactly do we mean by the uncreated Quran? Is it just the meaning of Qur’an that is uncreated or the Qur’an in Arabic (i.e, not just the meaning, but all the words and ayahs in the Arabic language in the Quran) uncreated ? I did go through the discussions that already exist on this topic on this app and also listened to the short video lecture by Ghamidi sahab on this topic but I couldn’t quite comprehend them or get a clear answer.

    Also, is the Qur’an eternal?

    Thank You

This is a futile debate. One should not get involved it. Qur’an is the kalam of God which he gave us in the form of a human language. This is what it is.

We have no kniwidge to determine that how God conceived it and in what language He conceived it.
