Verse 9: 70 tells that the people of Ibrahim met the same fate as that of the deniers of the prophets. The details are not provided.
The people of Ishmael followed him, which is why the Arabs followed Ibrahim’s religion, with all the innovations and distortions of his teachings.
Isa’s people were the Jews, the people of the Book. They were not polytheists. For them, there is a different divine scheme. They were punished with humiliation and banishment, see verse, 59: 3

To, Verse 59:3..
Does this mean that the Jews who planned to kill isa were finally exiled as a punishment at the time of prophet Muhammad….I mean how does this make sense..hujjat and so the azaab should be on the people who are the direct addressee (the first generation)…
And if so, since the Jews are back to power…does this mean they are forgiven now..
Plz … explain if I am missing something.
