Unlawfull Income
My q is;
My biggest sister has no home of herself anymore.
She has now been living with our mother in her apartment here in europe.
The laws are very strict here regarding jobs and living together.
My mother is semi old and gets payment from government because she has no job and cant do any other job because she was all her life a housewife. But they still bother her to search for a job. My father died 2 years ago.
Now my biggest sister , without telling the government , wants to do a job in black. So she will be earning in a illegal way. And my mother is giving her a place to live under her now.
So she will be living under my mother without telling the govrnment she is doing a job there fore she wont pay tax and gets to live for free. Otherwise she has to search for her own place but it’s not very easy to find. She is a divorcee.
Q is ; is this halal for her to do and is it halal for my mother to help her like this?

The income is definitely halal. The violation is about paying the taxes. If the tax or a law seem unjust in certain condition, it should be debated with the government, but its violation earns no sin for the individual. However law of the land must be followed.
