If someone’s hand is cut, he doesn’t pray for his hand to regrow, because he thinks it’s not possible, right? Now. Should we pray for Rain? Like Oh Allah, our crops are at risk, plz rain. Like what’s the point in praying for rain? If it will, it’ll rain. If it don’t,it won’t? Our praying don’t make a difference right? And if it’s the case, has Prophet Muhammad ever prayed for rain? Ig he did.

God answers our prayer within the possibilities He has delineated. We read from the Quran the prophets prayed to God to give them children and asked to cure them of disease, and God fulfilled their need. Further, we know from the Quran that God sometimes stops rain or brings a calamity to warn the people to make them humble and connected to God. Therefore one should pray to God to show one’s connection with God and to show that one believes that God is Almighty. One should believe that if one’s prayers are compatible with His Wisdom, the prayers are granted.

But God can’t cure disease. People would die from minors infections back then and now there are vaccines and all the medicines. God wasn’t curing them back then was he?

God never comes to cure a disease. When we pray and If He wills t fulfil our prayer He turn things in our favour. Not all prayers are answered even today.

If you believe in God, He is an active God, as we know from Qur’an. If You don’t, then you first need to learn if there is a God and if He is, then how He behaves.

There were diseases incurable. People would pray and there would be no help and they would die. Now they are curable bcz of advanced medical science. And now people pray and they get cure too. Does it mean, it was science what made Allah Almighty capable of help?

God is capable of absolute help, but He does not intend to help every time. He helps when He wills. Sometimes, He does not help when all the resources are available to help. His purpose is not to solve the problem of the people, He put them on a test to belive Him and the come prepared for the day of judgment where their moral self will be questioned. if they pass the test, they will go to Jannah, if not they will go to Hell.
