Umra During Iddah
Given the circumstance in which a husband and wife have been living in different countries for the past eight months, and in light of the husband’s unfortunate passing, the wife has traveled to attend his funeral. In this regard, may I respectfully inquire whether she is allowed to perform Umrah while she is in Saudi Arabia with her son for the funeral? Additionally, I would appreciate any guidance on the appropriate manner for her to observe the Iddah, particularly in consideration of their lack of physical contact during their time apart. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

She can perform umarah.
Iddah is observed to confirm pregnancy. In her case she is not bound to observe iddah.
