Is Talking About Women Haram For Men According To Ahadith?
Is it considered ‘haram’ for men to talk about women, such as expressing preferences like ‘I like this type of woman’ or ‘I dislike when women do this,’ and so on? My friend and I debated this, and he provided hadiths about protecting one’s private parts and zina of the tongue, and how small sins can lead to bigger sins. I believe it’s something we should avoid but not necessarily haram.
What’s your take on this?

Liking for woman is natural. The whole poetry is full of these expressions. This poetry was there in in the presence of the prophet Ans Sahab but it was never discouraged. Our youth do not know such small things unfortunately and develop strange ideas. God has invited our attention to beautiful women one will avail in Jannah. There are ahadith which tell the same.
The hadith You cited is about intention of zina, that is one talks about woman in a lecherous way. This is fuhush.

I just came to know recently about arabic poetry in which cultural values and romantic words aswell included , perhaps in Mu’allqat,and these poems was recited in prophets alaihisalams period , the question is ,shykh does our prophet alaihisalam listen this poems?

Yes. Of course. Such things are an expression of aesthetics.

@Irfan76 pardon me sir if I couldn’t able to understand you properly ! Shykh ek wo shyari jo milti hai us daur me usme mohabbat k aur jamaliyati acchai k izhar ashar hote the ! Aise ash’ar nabi alaihisalam ne sama’at farmae? Wohi jo Mu’allqat aur digar kutab me milte hai?
