Assalamu Alaikum
Tawatur is one of the most trustable source of transmission of history, thus gives absolute (qat’ai) knowledge. But it seems to be the case also that tawatur can still be faulty, given that one has to find and prove that a consensus was once established in history and perpetually transmitted and can be mistaken too. E.g. giving Ad’haan in the ears of a newborn

If a Twatur is not established it can never be created later. If It is there, that is, the whole community is accepting and acting upon it, it is definitely not a later creation. Because of this tawatur, the tradition of azan in the new Born could not become an established Sunnah and despite its popularity the scholars rejected it.
