AsalamualikumI have adopted a Child when he was 3 months old and his parentage on all documents are as per his adopted parents ,Now we are planning to marry him and obviously his parentage on Nikha papers should be ours but our local Molivi Shb is saying it is not allowed in Islam to give your name to adopted son but it would be big concern to me , family and my adopted son .I simply asking you Can I give my name to my adopted son on nikha papers ?Is this prohibited in Islam?

It is unfortunately a common practice to register the adopted child in the name of his adoptive parents. This is against the directive of Qur’an. However it doesn’t affect the validity of marriage. It is now a mistake in the documents only.

Dear, it is a lie, therefore it is not allowed, but it can be ignored in the cases of documentation when it is necessary to name a parent, and the real father is not known.
