Doing Online Business Using Fake Profiles
I use multiple fake accounts with different names, such as James and Peter, along with various images, to approach people on Twitter and offer services like logo and website design. I earn income this way. However, my concern is whether earning through this method is halal? as I came across the following hadith:
“Both parties in a business transaction have a right to annul it so long as they have not separated; and if they tell the truth and make everything clear to each other, then they will be blessed in their transaction, but if they conceal anything and lie, then the blessing of their transaction will be eliminated.”[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

If these different IDs are to deceive others it is wrong, if it is not the purpose then it is ok.

But, the Hadith clearly says if they say the truth and make everything clear, then the transaction will be blessed.
His accounts gave the impression of someone they are not and the client also doesn’t get to know, that there’s the same guy behind all of them.
Doesn’t this fall into the category of lying and deception? Genuinely curious

As told earlier, if it means to deceive others to harm them, it is wrong. If it is it the purpose then it is fine, if one thinks that he needs to hide his identity for some reason. However, if you feel it is still inappropriate you should avoid it.
In Deen everything forbidden is forbidden for something wrong, unethical or immoral.

What I’ve concluded from this:
Deception is only wrong when it’s used to mislead or cause harm. But when there’s no ill intent, it’s not deception in any moral sense—it’s just a tool, a means of communication, or even harmless play.
Context defines morality, not the act itself.
Leaving this here as a note to revisit later.
