Joining In Ruku’ Late
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
I was late to the congregation for Dhuhr prayer. The imam started to say SamiAllahu liman hamidah and I quickly began my prayer, since the imam just started saying that and most of the congregation was still in ruku’, I quickly went into ruku’, said the tasbeeh, then rose up. Since I was unsure if I had caught the rakah, I added an extra rakah at the end of the prayer along with sujood as sahw.. Is the prayer valid/what i did correct?
