I have heard that tayamum must be performed at the start of every fard prayer even if nothing to nullify wudu had been done is this true? And does tayamum act as a replacement for ghusl even after the need for it has ended e.g one performs tayamum instead of ghusl for a valid reason but now since that reason has ended does ghusl need to be performed

Tayammumm is for both Wudu and Ghusal when water is not available or one is not in the position to use it, like travelling.

Once tayammumm is made, multiple prayers can be said with it, unless it breaks the way wudu breaks.

As soon as the excuse for tayammumm ends one needs to make wudu or ghusal for the bext prayer.
