Exposing People In Public
There are TV shows in Pakistan that expose wrongdoing, such as corruption and harassment, etc. The hosts interrogate individuals and make remarks like ‘Sharam arhi hai aapko’ (‘Aren’t you ashamed?’). Everything is broadcast on television. Is this method of exposure, essentially a televised court, in line with Islamic teachings, considering the public shaming and the fact that hosts earn fame and wealth through it?”
To be exact, I am talking about shows like Sar e Aaam

Such shows are violation of privacy, against the islamic ethical code of not spying on others to expose individual’s wrongs. One should report to the law of one has evidence against a person, and if law doesn’t work one tries to make it work. But personal space should not be violated.
However, if something wrong is happening in public then it is fine to highlight it in public.
