If there are three children two boys and one girl. One boy is suffering from Down syndrome, he will be needing 24 hours care for the rest of his life, may be up to 80 years or so. If the division is done according to sharia. Then the Down syndrome boy will get his share, may be 1/3rd more at the maximum, but that will not be sufficient for his survival. He will probably need at least 80% of the inheritance for his life to survive, how does sharia will deal with this scenario.

    Thanks

The boy will get his due share, not more than that. His assets and affairs should be managed by a trustworthy person who will generate income from his assets. If he needs further assistance, he will be helped on humanitarian grounds.
