Death Of Prophet Suleiman AS
Salam. Quran says Jinns came to know about death of the Prophet Suleiman AS when his staff gave way from rotting. My question is why Jinns didn’t realize he was stationary, not moving at all, not going to toilet or eating/drinking. Staff would have taken a long time to rot so why none of ministers, sons, wives, servants contacted him for so long. It doesn’t make any sense to me. His staff couldn’t be old/rotten one because he was the greatest King of all time so items of his personal use must be in pristine condition. Thank you in advance.

it became evident to the jinn too the extent of their knowledge which they would acquire through eavesdropping. The incident which brought this to light may have happened in somewhat the following manner: Solomon (sws) was personally supervising some construction work of his in which the jinn too were working when the time of his death arrived. His soul was claimed by the angel of death. When his chiefs, elders and family members saw that in spite of his death, Solomon (sws)’s body was still standing through support from his staff, they let him stay in that position until the task reached its completion. This strategy worked for a considerable period of time. However, God had other plans. Thus during that time, termites ate away the bottom of the staff after which the dead body of Solomon (sws) fell to the ground.

Dear sir,
I don’t see how it answers why Jinns did not notice no movement, food or toilet breaks or no sleep.
Do you find it logical how an intelligent and powerful creation of Almighty, were all so stupid as a group to miss all what I mentioned. Please do answer as it has been decades and I can’t figure out this issue.

Your objections hold weight. It did happen, but the details are missing. Thefore we speculate. We don’t know how long termite took to eat away the bottom of the staff. It is all about the time the termite took.
