Halal And Haram Income
Assalam u alikum. I am 17 years old currently studying in class 11. My father have a government job but he is not making it halal. He was not involve in bribery but does not go to office regularly. I just want to ask that if it is mandatory for me and my mother to try to earn some halal income as my mother do online business which make him so tired.
Please guide me in this matter.

Your father understands his responsibilities well, so it’s best to ask him directly for clarification. If he is meeting the actual requirements of his job in terms of duties, regardless of strict timing, then his income is halal. Government jobs often involve such flexibility. However, if his explanation doesn’t satisfy you, you may choose to go independent.
