    I read in the commentary of ahsan Islahi saab of surah naas : that those people.who think that shaytaan or the iblies [ the leader of shayateen so to say ] is alive are wrong. That he is dead long ago and his mission is now being carried out by his servants or patrons.

    But I read in quran that when iblies asked for a chance to rebell fully , that Allah granted him that until the day of judgement. The words clearly day Ila youmi yubathuun. Until the day of resurrection! So how does ahsan islahi saab concluded this in his commentary in tadabure quran?

    He had asked for that a long time, but he was not granted it. He was given the appointed/known time, which was till his death, like others.

    See the verses:

    قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِي إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ ‎﴿

    ٣٦﴾‏ قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنظَرِينَ ‎﴿

    ٣٧﴾‏ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْوَقْتِ الْمَعْلُومِ
