I heard an opinion that watching videos that might have people doing something which is considered sinful or haram is not allowed. Is this true? I’m not talking about watching indecent acts or something like that, for example you are watching a video in which a person tells a lie or drinks alcohol are you sinful for watching that person do a sin likewise by the logic of the above opinion even watching a person bacon would be haram since he is also eating what has been forbidden. Is this opinion really correct, since it seems a bit excessive to me since your not the one doing the sin how can you be sinful.A Hadith comes to mind supporting the opinion above

“Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; if he is not able to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart — and that is the weakest of faith.”

    (Sahih Muslim, Hadith 49)
