    Hello,

    My question is pretty straightforward,

We know in Surah Falaq, that ‘the evil of envious creature when he envies’, exist. Would it be permissible to lie about one’s achievement or one’s success just to avoid this particular evil? If no, then what should be the proper way for avoiding this, saying on face to the other person that you feel uncomfortable in answering the truth, could damage the rapport.

One evil should not be replaced with another. One has to avoid both, fight against the bad feelings and develop good ones.

    AOA Dr. Irfan,

    Hope you are doing well.

Can we please elaborate your answer? How one can avoid such situation without speaking lie? Even when you say that you don’t want to answer, people forces you to answer.

You may avoid the situation by averting the questions or queries without telling a lie. If you can’t, you need not save others from envy. Tell them the truth. Everyone is responsible for their intentions and actions.

If I am missing anything here, let me know, please.
