Assalam alaikum,
Is salat Al Janazah also a “Sunnah” according to Ghamidi Sahib’s criteria? Also what is the reality of the salat Al Janazah that the Prophet is said to have prayed for Najashi of Ethiopia? Was it specific for this occasion or can be used a basis for Salat Al Janazah Ala Ghaib?

Yes Ghamidi sb consider it sunnah
