On Ghamidi Sahab’S View On Maida 51
This is Ghamidi sahab’s tafseer of ayat 51 of al maida:
اِنھیں موالات سے منع اِس لیے کیا گیا ہے کہ پیغمبر کی طرف سے اتمام حجت کے بعد اللہ کا فیصلہ اب اِن یہود و نصاریٰ کے بارے میں صادر ہونے والا تھا، جس سے پہلے ضروری تھا کہ منکرین، منافقین اور سچے اہل ایمان کو الگ الگ کر دیا جائے۔ اِس زمانے کے یہود و نصاریٰ سے اِس کا کوئی تعلق نہیں ہے۔

یعنی اسلام اور مسلمانوں کو اپنے لیے ایک مشترک خطرہ سمجھتے ہیں اور اِن سے نمٹنے کے لیے اِن کے خلاف ملت واحدہ بن چکے ہیں۔ چنانچہ فرمایا ہے کہ اب مسلمانوں کو بھی اِن کے خلاف ملت واحدہ بن کر اِن کے ساتھ دوستی اور اعتماد پر مبنی تمام تعلقات و مراسم ختم کر دینے چاہییں
He’s mentioning that this prohibition of cordial ties is a corollary of itmam hujjat scheme and doesn’t apply to jews and Christians of today.
But note 392 shows that, ahlul kitab became one group against islam and Muslims. In ghamidi sahab’s school علت plays important role. So what’s essence( illat here )here:
Is it only (1) EXCLUSIVELY itmam hujjat corollary or also that (2) **they have become one group against you** if the latter is illat ,too, than can this ayat still be relevant today if such conditions reemerge?

Yes. If Illat or cause is there the directive will be applied.
One should keep in view the nature of the conflict whether it is due to having a different faith or because of some political issue, and secondly, one should see that a muslim community is rightful in its claims or not. Muslims cannot compromise their moral integrity.
