I try to be a practising Muslim but I often get this feeling that my heart is not in the ibadat that I do or that I am not as good a believer as one should be. How can I improve my Iman on Allah and how can I get yaqeen in my Iman?

Imam is essentially not a feeling but a conscious decision. Once one take a conscious decision his faith falter. Then comes feelings, when one feels more associated to God at times. But feelings cannot stay static. They changes for different reasons and they cannot be generated on command.
