Assalamu Alaikum, what is the minimum distance required for shortening prayers? Moreover, do we need to wait till that distance is reached to start shortening pray or as soon as we leave the house and start traveling we can pray qasr? JazakAllahu Khairan

There is no limit of distance. It is in fact the situation of hardship which allows shortening the prayer. This hardship can occur at a short distance, like You are stuck in a traffic jam near your home, or may not be there is long journey, then you should pray full prayer.
