  • Fawahish And It's Application

Dear brothers, I have been reading and following various conversations of Fawahish. Zina is one form of Fawahish, is a Kabila but there are various other forms of Fawahish. My question is that going to pubs, clubs etc where people are scantily dressed fawahish. Similarly watching our normal movies which promote all sort of vulgarity in clothing and illicit relationships. Furthermore most comedy shows are getting vulgar in their jokes. I avoid all these things ie the clubs, the movies and now the comedies because I learnt from this website that Fawahish are Kabaiyer and are on top of the major sins because they promote immoral societies. Am I overthinking and hence making my survival difficult in the western world? Appreciate response

Thank you brother Umer. From this clip, I understand that all other items are sadd e zaria n not fawahish unless Zina is committed, whose highest form is illegal interourse. I also learnt from other videos that religion is not about calculating minor sins because if they are committed repeatedly they become Kabira. So my simple question is by way of an example. Suppose I work out in the gym in my exercise shorts that cover my thighs but leave my knees exposed. While working out there is big probability that the thighs show too as the shorts can easily move. While wearing shorts in a gym is a norm, it’s also not fully covering my Satar or body parts that men can’t expose (belly button to knees). Will the act of me regularly exercising in shorts become a Kabira because one can argue that it may arouse feelings by some onlookers towards Zina. This is a rather simple example but it starts getting more complicated when you apply this situation to other rather permissible situations such as comedy shows, watching normal movies or dramas, attending work related meetings in bars and lounges etc. Appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance.
