My question is, is sexting Haram?

Or is it a sin, if it is, is it minor sin or a major sin? Or is it considered maqruh, I’m aware that one is not allowed to talk inappropriately in groups and among people, regarding people, but what If it is between a couple? Maybe a couple yet to get married, maybe among engaged couple, or who are committed to get married? What if they do sexting at times, of course if the foundation of their relationship or partnership is pure love and care, which is not based on lust,

I m confused about what kind of situation is invalid or if it’s a sin, what kind of situation makes it a sin?

Because morally people who go around talking inappropriately to opposite gender are not looking for anything serious therefore it’s considered shameless, since they’re looking to please themselves,

Kindly clear my doubts on it

Inappropriate in any capacity is inappropriate and therefore not allowed. If it is minor, it will pollute the person accordingly, and if it leads to a major sin, it would be a grave mistake. Your conscience is rightly judging an inappropriate action as inappropriate. One should not seek ways to do something inappropriate as something allowed.

Yes you are right brother thanks for getting my attention to that part, but my actual question was is it haram or a sin?

Reason being I heard ghamdi sb saying that there r 5-6 thing that Allah’ made haram other than of what is from food or drinks,

Can you please clear that topic as well?

    Jazakallahu khair

Everying things inappropriate is either haram or undesirable according to its intensity. What Ghamidi saheb told about five haram things, thsoe are five categories, not things. See verse 7:33

And can you point out what can be shameless acts that are forbidden  everyone has shame and the idea of shame or what shames them can differ from person to person but main idea of shame remains same

In applications of principles, at some points, things get subjective, then one is invited to follow one’s personal opinion.
