    Assalamu Alaikum Ghamidi Sahib,

I have a question that I genuinely want to understand.

If a woman believes in Allah and Islam but does not fully observe the recommended dress code, while she is not intending to disobey Allah or harm anyone, is this considered a sin that deserves punishment, or is it ultimately a matter left to Allah’s mercy and judgment?

The second part of my question is: why has women’s clothing become such a heavily discussed topic in our communities? It often seems to receive more attention than issues like honesty, justice, backbiting, corruption, men’s responsibilities, or other major sins. Is this emphasis actually based on the Quran and Sunnah, or has culture made it a much bigger issue than religion itself?

I’m asking this only to understand Islam better
