If a fault or blunder is done in public EG by a politician or religious figure, is talking about it and referring to it gheebah?

Gheebah means to slander. If one needs to speak negatively about another person behind their back without the intention of degrading or defaming them, it’s not considered gheebah.

I have heard that it means to speak of your brother in a way that he does not like. If it is true then it is backbiting. If it is false then it is slander.

But is this always to do with revealing a hidden thing? Or if something is already known does it count as gheebah?

Talking about ridiculing another people- this completely depends on the atmosphere of the situation right? I’ll give an example. My friends are from Bangladesh and we often joke about how they eat a lot of fish. There is a long backstory to this but basically we say that Bangladeshis ARE fish. Everyone laughs including them. Is this ridiculing another people that is haraam?
