Not sure if they make you lose your mind, they enhance your mental activity temporarily. Sugar wese he addictive hai, kisi cheez ka addictive hona usay haram nae krta. Sugar is more addictive the heroine on many indices. But higher consumption of sugar is harmful to use, so I think it’s should be frowned upon as it hurts you. I don’t think controlled usage of energy drinks is an issue. Purpose of drinking them should matter, do you want to drink it to study overnight, or for hiking. (Basically energy drinks give you a sugar rush, with some sort of drug that helps utilisation of that sugar quickly for body, it’s addictive as it makes you feel more active and better). It’s not a matter of halal or haram, it’s a matter of pursuing a healthy lifestyle which Islam prescribes us to follow. Like cleaning teeth and eating little and healthy etc, so it should be noted that energy drinks are not healthy for regular consumption. You be the judge.
