    Ghamidi sahab talks about how if a child is going to be unruly and mischievous he may be killed by God so that the parents don’t have to deal with him but the child won’t be punished because he didn’t actually do anything.But then also- if someone goes out to murder someone and pulls the trigger but the gun jams- he will still be punished by God as mentioned earlier in this video.So what is the difference between the two? The child is definitely going to be evil- so surely he should get the punishment accordingly.

      The person won’t be a murderer according to the will of God but he is still classified as a criminal. Because his intentions and steps towards the crime made him as such.

      But why should it be this way- he had fully intended to murder snd if he had the chance he would’ve. In this world we can’t punish that but surely in the hereafter it should be punished accordingly.

      The child, if he was definitely going to be evil- should be punished surely. God’s knowledge of him being evil should be enough.

      I vaguely recall a verse of the Quran that’s says this world is so the evidence can be against you and you can’t say that we didn’t have a chance. I can’t find it so I am not sure how it would apply

      Intention (niyat) leads to commitment (pukhta irada) which then leads to the act. All of these were absent in case of a child, so how could a child be punished? It is at this second stage of commitment (pukhta irada), the accountability will begin because a person reached this decision out of his freewill (irada-o-ikhtiyar) and it provides enough grounds to establish Shahdah on that person. Since murder was not committed and no damage can be shown, so it can’t be equated with sin where murder is actually done. it should belong to a lower category as compared to murder.

      But at the end of the day, they both have a chance to repent and make good any damage they have caused. There is a chance that person who actually committed murder might be forgiven because of his attitude afterward and a person who had commitment to murder might go to hell because of Vanity/arrogance (Sarkashi/Istakbaar)) that he might have adopted despite having second chance by still having those strong commitments and plots for murders. He might not die a murderer, but might die as a Sarkash/Mustakbir. Therefore, we cannot always account for these countless intricacies surrounding a human being.
