Definition Of Shirk
Shirk is when you knowingly make something your mabuud other than Allah. When you consider something to be from the zaat of Allah or to have some part in the amar of Allah. This is said when someone does it knowingly. What about someone who is doing it unintentionally. Will we say it to be a form of shirk. Like many scholars explain shirk fil muhabbat shirk fil ata’at etc etc. When quran says someone has made their wishes, shaitaan as ilaah. Is it not doing the same thing and labelling their unintentional act as shirk. As they have formed an ilaah. Or is quran eligible to do it but not us. What should be said about this.

These are all form of Shirk which you mentioned. Knowingly means, in your heart, your fitra warns you against it, but man tends to ignore or pay heed to it. His behavior will determine his fate on the DOJ. Yes, there may be one, who sincerely commits shirk by making partners with God in His Being or with His attributes, as we find in the case of the Christians whose case will be talked about by God with Messiah on the DOJ as mentioned at the end of Sura Maida, Ch. 5. They may have excuse on the basis of their sincerity. This is what to be decided by God, not by Us, we know only the principles, and their applications is the prerogative of God.
