ٱلۡجَوَارِ ٱلۡكُنَّسِ
I read amin ahsan islahi’s tafsir and am confused as to what the difference between خنس and الجوار الكنس is. The former seems to mean just recede- what does that mean? The latter seems to mean they come out, hit the devils, and come back. What is then the difference? What is the purpose of الخنس when it just means to go back? What does just merely receding do?

Khunnas means the ones which go forth and come back, these are the starts, they float (al Jawaar) (then they hit) and then hide (al-Kunnas).
