Faisal, this may be needing a new thread. My question is what this Wordly courts have to do with this issue?
There is one not convicted by court, but repents and the other convicted by court and repents. In Allah’s court how could it be different? It doesn’t seem logicical that Allah will make some such differentiation… Both would be the same in Allah’s court.
For example, a person in most countries of the World will not be convicted and in some other countries may be convict without standands of proof set by Allah…which is accepting guilt or 4 witnesses.
So, what is the reference from Quran or Sunnah, making difference between convicted or not convicted in court.
In the original question in this thread, it seems more correct that as long as guilty repents and the other forgives, the marriage should continue without anything to do with courts.
