Genetic Science Vs Religion
We learn from the religion that Allah has created every individual with a sense to differentiate between good and bad. Allah has created every individual with certain qualities, abilities and with certain circumstances. At the end, each individual is answerable to Allah against what he has done while using that sense and potential.
We also know that, now genetic science has reached to a point where it can be used to change not only physical characteristics of human beings like height and color of skin etc but also their behavior, feelings and reactions. For example, genetically modified humans could be fearless killers or may be the citizens that do not commit crimes.
Thus, here it appears that genetic science is in clash with religion. Kindly guide!

In addition to what Haris sahab posted above, it’s pure speculation that the genetic science is at a point where it can alter emotions and behavior in humans.

Faisal I believe genetics can change emotion and inclinations. Let’s assume it doesn’t, but consider that a simple cup of coffee can change your mood and behavior. Let’s go beyond. Many medicines make you severely inclined towards immoral acts, gambling, extreme anger and extreme depression. Human is just made of chemicals. Any imbalance can change your behavior. Let’s take it further to a situation similar to genetics. Many soldiers in the army are given or have been given hard drugs to make them fearless killers. They are even brainwashed to think of enemy as hateful objects to be destroyed.
The bottom line question is that when a person is genetically or artificially altered to behave in a certain way as compared to a person who is naturally born to behave in a certain way, will Allah judge their actions differently?
I have heard the answer that Allah will judge based on their level of internal struggle to avoid doing the wrong thing, but what is the supporting reference from Quran to give credence to this answer, if this is the right answer?
