Qaum E Thamud
Asslam o alaikum
holy quraan mention qaum e aad and thamud severl times . There is hadeeth as well in that contex when prophet PBUH were passing by tombs in hegra he probihted to drink water from there and call this place the place of Qaum e Saliah . Sir ghamidi and imam islahi sahib also added in their tafaseer that quam e thamud was located in hegra . Now question is that the tombs and emaraat located in Al hijar or hegra are not older than 700BC according to Radio Carbon dating but quran tell us that these prophets were before Ibrahim PBUH so how we can explain it?

I am unaware of the verse in which Quran established timeline of Hazrat Salih coming.
Can you kindly share the Quranic verse which has established that Hazrat Saleh came before Hazrat Ibrahim? -

Thamud is also mentioned in classical sources, for example, from Agatharchides’s On the Erythrean Sea from the second century BCE. Evidently the name Thamud was adopted by other people who settled in Mada’in Salih after the original nation of Thamud was destroyed.
