    Al-Ma’idah – 5:94

Why does God have to do something to know something else? How would that make sense since he already knows everything

Why didn’t God simply put people in heaven and hell since He already knows the result?

This test and trial scheme is what we all have to go through to earn heaven or hell with our own effort. And for Bani-Ismael, there was another twist, more specific tests for their rank of Shahdah.

How dare the people of hell ask God why he put them in hell according to his knowledge? God’s knowledge is perfect. They have no argument. So why does God not just act according to his knowledge?

Also this ayah, if we take it as ل تعليل and not Laam of consequence, then it implies God had to do something to know something. How does that make sense? Which ل is being used and what is the evidence for it?

For specifics about linguistics, please refer to Irfan Sahab or some other Scholar.

God’s knowledge is perfect indeed, but this alone doesn’t suffice for itmam-e-hujjat and rendering of Justice. Since God has promised absolute justice, therefore, these are necessary preconditions for absolute justice to be rendered.

Why doesn’t it suffice for itmam e hujjat for justice? After all it is God sharing his knowledge with us when he shows us what we did- he is the one reminding us and he is the one showing us. His knowledge is a better source of hujjat

    Aal-e-Imran – 3:142

This ayah also makes it seem like God doesn’t know or didn’t know until the battle of uhud happened
