    Assalam-u-Alaikum,

I think if one loves Allah, it is natural to have sentiments of love for Allah’s oldest sanctuary, built by one of His beloved Prophets, Abraham sws, and also taken care of by Prophet Muhammad sws. While love develops for one’s parents and children, why shouldn’t it develop for Bayt Allah? Also, considering its significance as the qibla, the direction towards which Muslims around the world stand and offer salah as well as perform tawaf on the occasion of Hajj, it is, by default, a revered and beloved site.

In short, instead of religious edicts, we should see some things as matters of love, and love isn’t something which one can deny or take for granted. It comprises the essence of who we are as human beings and how we build our relation with Allah. Stay blessed!
