Self Deception And Our Beliefs
I am student of psycology . I have studied about sef deception which indicates that our emotions and motivations lead us to believe in un-true things because it is giving us a emotional satisfaction . It is called self deception in psycology . It may be uncious ad concious . Now a question arises that is our belief in God is also a deception ? Because despite of lack of evidences we believe in God and try to rationalize many points that challenges our belief in God and about relegion . How do we know that belief in a God is true or justified ?

You need to learn the definition of truth and how to validate it.
Once you have that skill you can apply it to the concept of God to see if it’s true or false.
