  Is it haram to use swear words when you are not saying it to someone and not hurting anyone.

  I apologize for my mistake.

  Using swear words and profane language not directed towards anyone can’t be termed as haram, however, keeping in mind that purification at all levels is required in our religion, one should still refrain from using such language.
