Responsibilities Of Wife
(Generally) It’s the responsibility of a husband to provide for. Women may engage in work for their own interests.
Men are questionable if they lack in their responsibility but what are the responsibilities, if any, of the wife since saying that they’re responsible for raising children does not make sense as parenting comes from both not only from mother. Moreover, this argument doesn’t stand when there are no children in the family.

Thanks for that. A follow up question was, what is the purpose of that governance/سربراہی when considering that the parenting is for both, both of the persons can work, husband cannot restrict his wife to not to go for work then what is the use of that headship being given to men? What is the application of that headship?

Marriage is entered into on general principle of husband being the head of family, which means that in running of the household, final decision making authority is with him. This authority is not some cane that a husband can use forcefully to impose his wishes on his wife; it is this inherent will and understanding of both parties that Allah wants them to agree that one is going to be head of the household when entering into relationship of marriage and other needs to try her best to amicably help him run the affairs of the household. In case a husband stops his wife from job and wife disagrees, then it will be resolved the way all disagreements are resolved. Through talk, involvement of senior family members, separation for some time and even if disagreement persists and gets more serious, there is always room for divorce.

I totally agree with Umer’s April 9th comments. Islam has put no responsibilities on a wife, but designated husband as a head of a household. In this authority as a head, husband decides responsibilities of his wife fairly and with mutual agreement, just as supervisor in an organization assigns responsibilities to his direct reports. Still if things don’t work out after all the efforts Umer described, then the final action is divorce.
