Why God Puts In Hell Those Who Don't Worship Him?

Why does God gets so upset if humans don’t believe in Him and don’t worship Him. He gets so upset that He wants to give the harshest punishments to such people.
If people don’t believe in God why do God wants to punish them so severely in hell.
Why do God have such a strong desire to be acknowledged, respected and worshiped ?

It’s a misconception that God gets upset with people who don’t worship Him and subjects them to hell. The ideology that the Quran presents to us is that those people are destined to hell who deny the truth. Polytheism and atheism are lies that have no basis whatsoever. They’re based on mere conjectures, Belief in one Creator has ample evidence within our selves as well as the universe around us, and that evidence has been authenticated by the prophets as well as the scripture. Prophets and scriptures also have ample evidence for themselves.
