A stray cat comes to our home. I gave her food and milk regularly for sometime. She started spending most of her day at our house. Then I started scratching and touching her also. My parent’s and brother’s objections heighten up over here. They say that stray cats are dirty, unclean and germful. My mother says that she has seen her walking in dust on the road and sitting over gutter in the house. Also she eats pigeons in one corner of the house and leaves mess. They say she can give diseases so I should get rid of her. My brother says i should pet a Persian cat instead because they are more domesticated and and I can keep her clean properly. So I stopped giving her food and rubbing her for 2 days. But she keeps coming back and meows for food and love. My mothers Shoos her away with water constantly as she comes. I don’t feel good if I don’t give her milk and rub her even when she asks and follows me because I have encouraged her in the first place. Please tell me what should I do?

Adopt that cat as a pet at home & groom it so that it stops being a stray cat and gradually becomes a domesticated house cat. In this way you can keep it clean and your family wont mind having it at home. Watch Cat videos to learn how to groom a stray cat, how to keep it clean & how to teach the cat so that it can keep itself clean and have clean habits. Get educated and awareness about how to domesticate a stray cat. Everything is available on Google & YouTube. Best of Luck!
