Contemporary scholars, like حبیب الرحمٰن کاندھلوی, have criticized reports about the age of Aisha رضي الله عنها by Hisham Ibn Urwah because they were reported in his Iraqi era, which is considered to be unreliable. However, as Maulana Ammar Khan Nasir has written in the beginning of this article:
there are other narrators as well. Are the reports of these narrators faulty as well?
