    My question is following . According do Quran and sunnah, are non muslims allowed to have political or administration positions at highest level in a muslim country ?

    Also please clarify that Does these rule apply for all or People of the book ( christians or jews) can be given a priority over others.

    Quran and Sunnah have left these matters to be decided by nazam-i-ijtimae of Muslims. And after formation of nation states, Non-Muslims have an equal right as that of any Muslim living in the same country. Ideally, there shouldn’t be any restriction on Non-Muslims to hold the highest positions in a country. But in Pakistan’s constitution, there are some restrictions in place.
