Prohibition For Imitating Other Nations
Assalamualaikum
Ghamidi sahab said that we can wish Christmas, holi, diwali etc to non Muslims as long as there is no shirk or any bad activity in that specific occasion or event. But what does he says about the Hadith that”whoever imitates(copies) a people is one of them” and fasting on Ashura, Prophet S.A.W when saw Jews that they were fasting on 10th Muharram because on that day jews were liberated from paraoh(firoun) by Moosa A.S ,so Propeht S.A.W said that we are more nearer to Moosa A.S so he said to fast on that day,but (in another Hadith)when it was said to Prophet S.A.W that it is a day of esteem(respect, high regards) for Jews,so Prophet S.A.W said that when the next year will come we will fast on 9th Muharram,if we read the other Ahadith about its context so an impression to differentiate with Jews come,i didn’t get any thing which says that he said to fast on 9th because of being nearer to Moses A.S?How did Ghamidi sahab got that result?
