Quran 2:2 – Meaning Of Book
In 2nd ayah of surah al-baqarah , ذالک is used which is simply translated as ” that” opposite of تلک and it’s pointing towards al-kitab.
My question is at that time when this verse was revealed ” Quran was in complete book form or not ” .I have heard few explanation which tells why zalika and book is used But ghamidi sahb used the meaning of zalika as “this ” and also with Book which at that time was not in such complete form.
Can anyone clarify this

Of course the Quran wasn’t complete at the time of revelation of chapter 2, but an incomplete book is still a book. Many authors explain in their first chapter what their book is about even though they haven’t finished writing the book yet.
